Peter Sondakh Chairman, Board of Patron

A dedicated entrepreneur, Peter Sondakh started his business early in various industries over forty years ago. A committed businessman and philanthropist, he has led Rajawali Group to become one of the most successful yet very responsible business groups with a high concern towards social issues and sustainability in Indonesia. Mr. Sondakh founded the Rajawali Foundation with a commitment to support education as an important driver for change and development in Indonesia, especially in the area of Public Policy education. He believes a nation with good public policy will enormously create peace, welfare, and harmony for the life of million people in the country.




Nicolaas Tirtadinata Chairman, Board of Supervisor

Having started his career at Utomo & Co, he brings with him decades of experience at directorship level in various institutions. He joined Rajawali in 2001 as CFO at PT Bentoel Prima and from 2007 – 2010 was CEO of the company. He now holds the President Commissioner position at Rajawali Corpora, CEO of Eagle High Plantations, and Chairman, Board of Supervisor for Rajawali Foundation.

With past exeperience as the President Director of PT Telekomindo Primabhakti and PT Excelcomindo Pratama, Deputy President Director of PT Bank Universal and over 25 years of work assignments including at IBM Head Offices in Hong Kong, New York and Tokyo; his networks and experiences has been actively recognized in various professional associations and community developments.




Jonathan Pincus President/Executive Director

Jonathan Pincus is a development economist specializing in Southeast Asia. He was the Dean of the Fulbright Economics Teaching Program in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, a joint initiative of the Harvard Kennedy School and the Economics University of Ho Ci Minh City from 2008 to 2013. Previously, he was the lead economist for the United Nations system in Vietnam, and he also spent a number of years at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), at the University of London, where he convened the master degree in development economics. He has participated in research projects and development works in Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Latin America. Originally from the United States, he holds masters and doctoral degrees in economics from Cambridge University (UK).




Agung Binantoro Director

Agung Binantoro joined Rajawali Foundation as the Director to the Foundation responsible for program and operations. He started his career as management consultant at KPMG Consulting (Utrecht, the Netherlands) and Arthur Andersen Business Consulting (Jakarta, Indonesia). His previous tenure before joining Rajawali Foundation was with Putera Sampoerna Foundation as the Head of Program Development from 2007 to 2012. He obtained his BSc, majoring in Industrial Engineering from University of Indonesia and his MBA from University of Leuven, Belgium. He attended executive education program on Strategic Management for Leaders of Non-Profit Organizations from Harvard University, USA.
